264 mag. which powders to start out with ?

getting set up to load my new 264 mag. and would appreciate any information on what products to start with ?

I have had very good luck with IMR4831, 140 bergers, FGMM primers and 7mm rem mag norma brass necked down. This combo has worked well with a couple different barrels. Velocity is 3250 fps. H1000, H4831sc and IMR4350 are also good choices depending on what bullet you choose to shoot.

thanks for the info, thought about the 140 bergers and hear good things about them. also have been thinking about barnes triple shock, but I dont hear as much on them, nothing bad but not much info

I use 64.5 of h4831sc with the berger 140vld and a cci large rifle br primer, rp brass and seated to touch the lands in a 27 inch barrel veloicty is 3040 thru the crony. it has worked well in several barrels. don't start with this load.

I found 61gr of RL22, 215M primers, Win case and Berger 140 grain bullets seated 10 thousandths off the lands shoots 3075 fps in my Rem 700 and will put them all in about a 1/2-3/4 inch group at 100 yards.
