running my 257 bee at 3000 with 115. 3/4" groups at 200 though. Thinking about exploring higher speed. Wasting time?

I agree that there's much more speed available. 115 Berger out of my 25-06AI runs 3350 fps with H1000. Barrel is a 26" Krieger.

I had a 257 wby accumark several years back. I ran H1000 and Retumbo. Believe my H1000 load was around 3400 fps and one hole accurate, loaded out all the way to end of the magazine.

Your not pushing it at all

I run 100gr Barnes ttsx with RL22 68gr cci mag primer at 3575-3600 in a 26" barrel and cases are pristine

Mine shoots the 100s best and don't think I am giving up much with a 100gr mono Copper versus a traditional bullet at 115gr on game

That is a very mild load. My current 25-06 with a 26" pushes 110AB at 3,310 with Retumbo, and I have loaded the 115 Bergers at 3,200.

I'm shooting a Cooper Model 56 in .257WBY. It shoots the 115's very well. 100gr bullets provide a significant increase in velocity. I have been using 100 GK's the last few years for Deer and Antelope. The terminal effects are amazing. Speed kills. Using RL25 for my loads.

Try and push them faster and tweak the seating depth to fine tune accuracy. You got yourself a 257 Wby for a reason, don't run it half throttle.
I'm shooting the 115 Bergers in mine right now, it's shooting awfully flat. Out to 300 yards... just hold on hair.

I've been shooting my 257wbymags for 30 years and have had great results shooting 110 Bibbs. 3350 is real easy to achieve and have great brass life. At 3400 they just start to show pressure. Try the 110 Bibbs they are super accurate and have a .520 bc and kill great. Try rl26 and 7828.

The whole point of weeby is to push the speed, they are anything but a common sense gun. Push it, smoke that barrel, treat it like its meant to be. Once you got the barrel smoked then you can re-barrel with common sense or just have fun and do the same again. I an currently pushing my 25-06 to 3200fps loads with no pressure. Soon as this barrel gets smoked 25-06AI with fast twist here i come!!!
