The short barrel thread got me thinking. I, too, hunt in SC 90% of the time. I have an old 700 Varmit (bull barrel) in .243. I want to build a woods rifle with a 20 inch barrel. I will only shoot 90-100 grain bullets. What twist rate should I use? Thinking a Bartlein 3b contour. Thanks in advance.

8 or 7.5. I have a 243 win and I was shooting the 110 smks and now 115 dtacs with no problem stabilizing them in a 7.5. 8 twist will be fine up to the 105's and 107's
