im going to try this bullet with h4350 and wanted to ask if you guys have any load info that you have tried thanks

901, we load the 87 Berger with H4350, Lapua brass and 210M as our most accurate load. No two rifles will shoot the same load. Started at low Berger manual charge and worked up. Tried the 95's but the 87 was more accurate. This is in my son's factory Ruger stainless/laminate. Good luck

I found that 100V produce better speed and accuracy with the 87V-Max(I know different bullet) in both the AI and 243 for me. I have 4 243's and 2 ai's I tried it when I couldn't get 4350 but 100V was everywhere.

901,
+1 on what Dosh said. I used the exact same components in my .243 as well. I looked in my notes and my load for the 87gr vld was 42.7gr H4350 and a CBTO of 3.266.
I've recently switched over to the 90gr boat tail target bullet and still "playing" with it when time permits. It's looking to be slightly more accurate in my rifle than the vld was. But, like Dosh said "No two rifles will shoot the same load". Be careful and good luck!

I shoot a Tikka T3 .243.
Nikon Monarch 3 3-9x44 scope
Tikka rings.

My go to load is H4350 40.8 GR
Berger VLD Hunting (#24527) 95 GR
CCI BR2 # 200 primers
Hornady brass
O.A.L 2.80
2.22 to OJ with comparator

4,970 FT elevation
75 degrees
24.94 barometric pressure

100 yard zero.
2,875 FPS

Shooting sub 1/2" 3 shot groups.

This is what works for me.

Not a 243 but same family, 6 Creedmoor 87vmax 3350 fps,
is a great varmint steel round out to 600 yds very flat shooting, 44.5 H4350 2.760 oal

My wife's rifle, she has the tikka T3 lite and I'm using 4831SC behind the 87grain berger. I tried several powders and the 4831SC produced the best group. H414 was the second best group and H4350 was the 3rd. I didn't have alot of time to put theses together but the 4831 was also the slowest. All 3 were about dime to nickle size groups so I'm sure with a little more tuning on either one they will work fine. We shot the 87 gr Berger out to 600yards with no problems. No tags this year so once it get a little cooler I'll work on the loads a little more. Also shot some Varget and it was the same as the 4350 but produced more speed. I think 4831 is just a little slow for the case and bullet size but it did yield a deer for here on her first hut. Found my load data. This is 1 grain off max charge weight and came straight out of the Berger manual. This load shot great group. size and was consistent.
87Gr VLD Berger
COAL 2710
H4831SC=45Gr charge weight
CCI BR2 primers.

I tried the 95 gr VLD before in a tikka also and my 100 group was smaller than yours , basically one hole . How far have you shot that load to ?
I thought I had it made when I shot them until I shot them at 200 and 300 yards. The groups at 300 yards were about 10-12 " groups.
The 95 gr vld will not stabilize in a tikka and that was at 2500' elevation.
I went with the 87 gr vld with varget
But if you want to shoot 95 gr use the classic hunter.

There was one more thing to add. I recovered the bullet from her buck. She had shot the buck behind the shoulder and the bullet cliped some of the shoulder bone on the off side and was stick in the hide. The bullet was completely mushroomed out and the jacket had parts of the lead mushroomed out but I think there was one side that looked like it had torn off. Never found it. Almost a pass through but it did the job pretty well.
I had stabilization issue with the 95's as well. The SST though seem to be ok to 300 but nothing like the 87's. The 87 have done the best in the 1/10 twist.

I shoot 95's out of my rem 1:9.25 custom chamber by Gordy Gritters. It shoots dime size groups. If I didn't have a cut turret for my scope I would try the 87g VLD.
