This thread is revived just in time! I build only Weatherby rifles and have taken orders for two 240 Weatherby rifles in the last 3 months. One will be with a 1 in 8 Krieger and the other the customer is deciding on a Krieger or a Bartlien progressive twist to end up around a 7 twist. With the newer powders and bullets out today it is really coming into a viable cartridge. I would definitely not go less than a 8 twist. Kevin Thomas hit the nail on the head when he says Berger knows how to calculate the best twist for there bullets.
