I purchased a Rem 700 Classic new in 221 Fireball several years ago.
It is the most accure rifle I have ever purchased right out of the box

I have the Rem 700 laminate in 221 Fireball anf fired over 900 rounds at prairie dogs in June. Longest shot was 386 yds. Mine is very accurate and a pleasure to shoot. It is my number one gun for high volume use. At about 448 rds. per 1 lb of Lil Gun it's easy on the pocket book.

I have a cooper 221 fireball. I have leupold 4.5 by 14 30mm tube 40mm head side focus an a ken Farrell costom mount. I used a 40 gr v max 15.6gr of imr 4227 longest shot 300 yards. I had a hard time making this gun shot.
used all kinds of powers bullets weights. 40 gr v max an imr 4227 is the only
thing that would shoot well. not impressed with cooper rifle. or maybe it is the
caliber that is hard to set up. thank you for your imformation.
