I have a 27.5" Encore barrel 1-9 twist in .22-6mm Ackley Improved. I am looking for load data for 75g sciirroco or Hornady A-Max or similar weight bullet. Article in Jan 08 American Rifleman by Ross Seyfried indicates good results with RL22. Can anyone help me?

The load we run is 47.5gr of RL22 or WXR with the 80gr Sierra MK Molyed. Out of a 26 inch barrelled Savage it runs about 3400fps. Cases are WW & primers WLR. As usual start a few grains below and work up to suityour rifle. have taken it as high as 50.5gr.

    Hope this helps

Can you those loads to fireform? Do the bullets hold up or do they blow up?

    Hi Texote,

Yes I use the 47.5gr WXR load to fireform with the 80gr Sierra in my rifle, Note it is Molyed. As usual its wise to drop down a couple of grains and work up.

The 80gr Sierra MK do hold up (the 90gr Didn't in a friend's identical rig) & 80gr Amax don't always hold up either.

    regards
