200 yard testing today ........SD results ??

I got a little triger time today. Boy is it HOT ! 99.4 degrees under the shed that covers the shooting benches. The wind was blowing so hard it blew my target down . Not the kind of conditions that I hoped for but I was after the Average MV and the SD of a 10 shot string .

Load 85.5 grains of Retumbo

210 Berger

Average MV from 10 shot string was 2900 FPS

Standard deveiation 12.4

I think most folks shoot 5 shots .

but i shot 10 . I know we need single digits but would this combo get me started at longer ranges ? I put all 10 under 1 3/4'' @ 200 yards and the wind was blowing around 10 mph maybe harder at times.

What do you guys think ?? lay it on me I got big sholders

Good start!

Things will refine as you go.

Ten shot groups are a good test.

Better test is 1 shot 1 day for 10 days.

Remember, the wind is your friend.

Thanks for the reply. I plan on shooting 500, 600,800 &1000 this week and see how close I can get with 1 shot at each distance . Then target validate...... and let the NF software adj. my actual MV.
