    Turret turning vs Mil-Dot

Samspade, At the ranges you specify, holdover won't be simple but it can be done. The main reason for dial up clicks is a very precise aiming point at long ranges. In my experience magnification matters less than wind correction. Anybody can hold steady and shoot but **** few can judge the...

Coppermelt, what am I doing wrong?

Goodgrouper, How tight is too tight? I am using a 22 cal brush on my six ackley and it is snug. I tried a 6.5 brush on my 308 and it was easy to push back and forth, but both seemed too work. Which is better? One caliber smaller or two?

thanks everybody! I need to check trim length first but I will full length resize some of them to see if this helps. I checked the chamber for material and cleaned with jb paste. I will recheck with my stoney point gauge to see length. Thanks again. Lobber

    Headspacing a Savage question

winmagman, I have three savages and have 2 barrels each. In my very limited experience, if it is a standard case(no Imp) a full legnth sized case on new brass works best. If you are using a improved case I have learned it really doesnt take much force to turn the barrel and slightly buckle...

Questions & thought's on 6mm for BR and prarrie poodles.

Re: 6mm and prairie dogs...... Ackman, Why do you doubt peoples skill at long range? If you do why are you post ing on longrange hunting? If you have never seen anyone make first round hits at 800,900, and even 1000 yards, trust me it is not that rare!! I have Been to a few tactical...

Please inform me on these 2 things

Well i got bit by the short mag bug very quickly, and I had to have one! I have regretted it ever since. I wanted a rem 700 but none available at that time. I settled for a model 7 in 300 SA ultra. Flimsy stock, horrible trigger, binding bolt, and worst of all 1.5 in groups with every powder...
