    Need a 300RUM Coyote load.

Corlanes is where I got my second to last batch actually. However, its a 3 hour drive from Mack to there...And shipping is $$. As to ebay, I bought/stole about 4 boxes of X derivitaves in some form or other...Right up until they no longer allowed bullet sales.

    Need a 300RUM Coyote load.

Oh same thing here...I'm mostly thinking of the situations that occur when I'm moving between rattling locations, or still hunting areas (in the truck). Last year I think probably 7 coyotes were during actual on the ground situations, and the rest were targets of opportunity when moving...

    Need a 300RUM Coyote load.

Live fire exercise excise....I like it. And I do. Ok, the real reason is that I'm finding that with the 168 TSX I'm getting resonable expansion, shoulder shots or ribs don't seem to make a huge difference, exit wounds are around 2 inches.... HOWEVER, the one that I shot with a 165...

    Need a 300RUM Coyote load.

Well, mostly its an availability problem. The 168's can be a difficult thing to get my hands on in Northern BC, when I want them. Noslers and Sierra's etc are pretty easy to come by up here though. And generally speaking I only carry around 20 rounds give or take of the TSX's when I...

    Need a 300RUM Coyote load.

Alright, I'm looking for something that anyone has used in a RUM. I find a lot of coyotes and wolves during deer/elk/moose season, and need a load for them other than my 168gr TSX's. Tried 165gr Nosler BT's over H1000, and couldn't get them to shoot under 3". Any suggestions?

300 RUM recoil, Sendero SF2 vs XCR

I have the XCR in 300UM. Shoot one before you buy one if you get the chance. If you are at all concerned about recoil, or don't shoot a thumper now, try one first. If not, you'll have it in your head that it is gonna hurt you, and the first time you shoot it will probably imprint in your...

    300 RUM load

Starting point at 95-97grains? What elevation? I only ask because I'm curious as to where to start, and I just got a box of 180 TSX's and a box of 165 XFB's. Had to pass on 3 big (BIG) black bears this weekend because all I had was Federal Factory loads with the 200gr partitions, and I didn't...

    ANNOUNCING THE NOSLER E-TIP!!!!!!

Hmmm....I notice a lot of posts complaining about the BC of TSX bullets, but how many people know that the BC of TSX's is calculated at 300 yards? The standard distance that everyone else uses is 100 yards. This is according to Barnes' website of course, but it is probably an important...

    XLC or TSX?

Storing up a supply is easier said than done....Any time I find a box, I buy them, and I haven't seen a box of them for a while...Hence the step up to a .30 cal rifle...Everybody starts out a new bullet in 30 cal, and they keep making them in 30 cal for a while longer than anything else....

    XLC or TSX?

Bullseye, My bullet that I used for years was the 140 X bullet flat base. Loved it. But this last fall I was forced to switch to the 130gr flat base due to availability issues of the 140's. We did use the last of the 140's to hammer one moose and one elk this last fall, the moose went down...

    XLC or TSX?

Interesting. If I wanted to be insulted by people who don't like my bullet choice I would of asked for insults. I'm feeling charitable tonight, so I'll let that go. I myself have heard about erratic accuracy with the XLC's, and XFB also (which have been my bullet of choice till now) but...

    XLC or TSX?

Okay, next question, XLC or TSX? I'm thinking where I hunt mostly there is a lot of moisture, and perhaps the TSX isn't going to give adequate moisture protection. Anyone experienced any problems like that? (It rains and snows alot here). I'm not hugely worried about any possible velocity...

    300UM Load

Ty for the reply, so what make of rifle are you loading that in, and what signs of excessive pressure did you see when you were working up to that 99grains?

    300UM Load

Okay, new to the 300UltraMag. I need a starting point for an accurate load with a Barnes bullet. Either the XLC, or the TSX. What I want to do with this rifle is shoot Northern BC deer (both flavours), elk, black bears, and moose (mostly immature bulls). At ranges of 30 meters to 500...
