    .260 vs 6.5 Creedmore

Yeah, me too. 6.5CM vs 260? Most of the shooters I talk to (2500 member club) just want to shoot. Hit the target accuracy is fine with them. So off the shelf ammo will sell a lot of rifles. Guys like me that are "selling" precision hand loading and precision games will get 5-10% coming in the...

    Nosler accubond

Me & you, Smack. These guys shoot the critter with a howitzer, it drops like it was struck by lightening, and they found something to complain about

BULLET STUCK IN BBL in the field

One (you or me) might be considered ill prepared to have gone afiekd with NO means of clearing an obstructed barrel. When you go with loads that jam the lands you must consider the possibility of having to eject a loaded round and perhaps leaving the bullet stuck in the rifling. I like to carry...

    Brass cleaning issue

I used them and everything else listed here. I now just tumble for pistol. My rifle is 90% target and I went to ultra sonic. Time consuming but really ( REALLY) good. Thanks to all JonMill

Can a Case be too Short?

I hav not read all the replynnot see this reply so will stop now so forgive if I ster on anyone. I'm with JE. I always measure each chamber with the Sinclair gauge ( the little slug that goes inside a trimmed down case) It's a pain but exact. I've actually not found a chamber I had to trim for...

    Bighorn tl3 thoughts

If you are going to use factory ammo you may as well use a factory gun. I really like the bighorn actions but I always load my own

    Scope Decision

The MK4 is a good scope but I would prefer MOA all around. Most of us will have a range finder so that aspect of the mil dot is moot. schmidt and Bender is the best glass I ever looked through

    Mark's Glock was empty

Two things stand outin this account; A)In bear country, take that heavy old gun off while wallowing in bloody guts B) "Throw the gun to the guy being mauled by a bear as he will surely catch it and be able to make it work while I go for help. Rampant attack of **** for brains. In fairness let me...

    Long range hunting ???

    What am I looking at??

Yes but my question is how do the drill marks appear in the bottom of the groove when the material that was drilled/reamed was displaced by a pulled button or removed by a rifling cutter. The lateral marks at the bottom of the groove should not be there and I wondered how they survived the...

    What am I looking at??

I do not understand the lateral tool marks in both land and groove. I would think one of them should be linear ( the groove?). Not a hand lapped barrel. That is why I'm looking to learn how to pour a lead lap for a barrel. Do not want tool marks like that on my barrels, new or old.

    Concentricity Question

Hey Deputy, As much as we would like to think of parrallax(sp) as a thing, it turns out to be more of a relationship. Your eyes today have much to do with it. My first coach told me to check my setting each time sat down to shoot a group. Some can do it instantly and others fiddle with it...
