Has anyone tried to load a 175 grain bullet for a 308 with a 1:12 twist with success? If so what kind of groups were you getting with it?

I'm shooting a remington 700 sps varmint in 308. it has a 1:12 twist with a 26in barrel. Any body worked up a load for this gun? I got some varget and some 168 smk bullets If anyone has a recipe for this combo. I would also like to hear any good loads you guys have!

Right now I'm shooting a rem700 sps in .308 that has a 1:12 twist in it. I've been shooting the federal GMM 168gr matchking bullets and have been getting an average of about a .6 MOA group. Anyone tried the 175's out of a 1:12 twist? If so what have the groups looked like?

All I am really looking for here is a 1moa rifle. Does that change anyone's answer?

I have a b&c m40 stock for a remington 700, I was wondering if bedding just the recoil lug would be good enough or should I bed the entire action?

When glass bedding a rifle, how exactly do you go about keeping epoxy out of the action screw holes? When you go to screw the action into the stock won't the epoxy just seep into the screw holes?

Can a b&c stock be glass bedded?

It is the sps varmit model in 308win so it does have the cheap plastic stock on it. So it does sound like a new stock and bedding job will help then?

What exactly are the Cheeper options?

Alright so I guess the new question is will the acuacy gained by putting a new stock and trigger in it be worth the $400? From what it sounds like the answer is no.

Not a horrible trigger but I just can't get it light enough.
