opinions on x-mark pro????

I'm am only a sample of one, but the X Mark trigger on my Milspec Rem 700 I just got was absolutely awful. It couldn't be adjusted below 4.5 pounds from the 6 it arrived with and even at that, the sharp edged adjustment screw extended into the trigger area and scratched your finger. I now have a Timney on it that is superb! A crisp break at 2.5 pounds. My other Remingtons have either had well tuned older style Remington triggers, or replacement Jewels or Timney's.
The first series of x-mark, DID NOT have an adjustment screw in the trigger shoe itself. They used the same 3 screw adjustment like the old style 700 triggers.
These 1st series x-marks had the sear engagement screw glued so as it would never move again, only the trigger pull weight screw could be adjusted and most of these first series were easily set to a safe 2.5-3 lb pull.
The last model still has the same 3 screw adjustment as the first x-mark but with the addition of the trigger show screw, this screw is not a very effective adjustment screw, the trigger pull weight/return screw still needs to be adjusted in combination with the shoe screw. With the ones I worked with this style is the most inconsistent in the achievable finished safe weight of pull.

I had mine adjusted by a gunsmith and he could only get it down to 2lb 5oz and the screw on the trigger had to be all the way out if I understand right it can be set to 2lb 5oz without that screw coming all the way out? If so it would be a good trigger still hope i understood right because I still have mine and have another gun I can use it on.
