i will be having a friend do some reloading for my new 300 ultra tommorow for hunting so i was wondering what bullet should i go with? any input will be greatly appreciated!!

I like both bullets and have hunted with both in a .30 x .378. The 190 and 200 Mkhps are the only Sierras that were under 1 moa.

The 200gr Accubond is just as accurate, and is much more predictable as a hunting bullet. It's all I load for the 30 x anymore.

There's not that much difference in performance between the .300 Rum and the .30 x Wby, so they should be a good choice in your rifle.

Knowing what I know now, I would start with them.

I'd like to hear how it turns out.

I like 180gr bullets in .300 Win mag and .300 Wby mag, but I believe the 200gr is a better bullet in the boomers.

Lefty7mm makes a couple of very good points. The rifle must like the bullet, and the Hornady Interbonds have an excellent reputation for accuracy and terminal performance. I've never tried them, but I never had any luck with the Hornady Spirepoints or match bullets, so when I discovered that the Accubonds shot in everything I tried them in, I just quit looking.

I actually usually use the spire points but have we've used the sst etc. from hornady too and they are great. The interlocks can be a bit soft in the nose so I like to get a bit heavier, say at least a 180- 190 in the rum. I love the 190 accuracy wise but haven't killed with it.

For me it would be the Accubond hands down. I would start with the 200gr offering first. Ive loaded that bullet in 3 different ultras and found accuracy well under MOA with all 3.
