I must have been bored this winter because i placed a custom order for a cooper excalibur with a 26" stainless barrel in 25-06 ackley improved. I started the process of fireforming brass. I have fired about 20 down the tube to form some brass. I will send the brass and loaded 25-06 win shells if the new owner wishes. The brass comes out very nice. Accuracy with the fireforming is about 1-1.5" but i just picked a charge and placed the 100gr ballistic tips to the lands so no load work up. I would suspect it to be a great shooter. I am only selling because I am cleaning up my safe and maybe buy a new bike (victory) .

I am asking 1600 without scope. If you wish i could include the scope (swarovski Z3 3-10 with the BRH reticle for an additional 600).

Rifle is in perfect condition. No nicks or scratches. Comes with original box and paperwork that came with rifle.

Is this rifle still available? Just out of curiousity, how do the ballistics of the 25 06ai compare to a 257 weatherby? I'm looking for a .25 caliber replacement for my weatherby due to its pickiness on bullets. I've heard nothing but good things about the coopers...thanks for any info you can give me

I believe most will tell you that the 25-06 AI will split the difference between the 25-06 and the 257 Roy. Some may say that the ackley is similar or equal but at similar pressures the roy should be somewhat faster. Coopers are great rifles. I have several and they are all shooters.

I can't believe this rifle is still here. Great guns those coopers. My cooper 25-06 does 3150 fps with 115 bergers. I would think the AI would get atleast another 100 fps.

I agree, this is a good price on a great rifle. Though I don't have my model 52's any longer, I still have 3 Coopers and they are shooters.
I sold the two 52's I had because I just could not bear to beat up the stunning wood mine had, by hunting with them.
Someone buy this rifle, quick, before I start thinking I need another one!
