shot my furthest dog this morning, twice!
i went out this morning by some feilds i know got some pictures of some elk and turkey's, went down the road a mile or so and seen a dog way out there, about 850 yards out there. i looked at my data and watched him, he started to come closer to a fence in between us and then walked a long it at 700 or so yards. i layed down took a shot hit im back, he yelped and then ran about 50 yards, i then shot again and dropped him. i went out to check him out and the shot was about 725 yards. thats my personal best so far. befor this one it was by holding over at 546 this winter.

Gotta give a few more details....what did you shoot him with?

I shot him with my 243 ackley pushing 95 grn bergers at 3150. The day before I had taken that barrel off of my savage short action and put it on a long action that I will be building my 6-284 as soon as the barrel comes. This gun is set up for longer shots with a 25 now base and a viper pst on top. The range finder was a newcon 2200 yard model that my buddy will be writing a review on along with I think a 3500 yard model. That is the first animal this barrel and bullet setup has killed, though I have shot it at .5 now to 900 yards before on the old action, just never taken it out I guess

thats really good shooting,im useing a davy cricket 22 magnum rifle and im dropping g-hogs about 475 yards the cricket has a 16-1/8 in barrel on it .i plan on yotie hunting with it ,if i can get a dog at 475 yrdsim really lucky.725 yrds is one hell of a shot ,please give me ur secreat,hope u kill many more
