I don't know if I'm wording this correctly in technical terms, but hopefully most of you will understand my question. I'm an avid coyote hunter and shot often vary between nearly point blank to as far as one's shooting ability will carry them. I have yet to find the perfect scope, but the Bushnell 6500 2.5x16x50 "in theory" seems pretty close. So my question is: Most scopes have a power setting that is optimum for long range shooting. Is this the case with the 6500? I mean is my POI going to shift considerably between 2.5X to 16X and everywhere inbetween?

POI shouldn't shift with power adjustment. Perhaps someone here can confirm that they've tested theirs?

The other consideration may be parallax adjustment which isn't so much an issue at 2.5x, but becomes somewhat more significant above 10x.

POI should not change with a magnification change. I cannot speak directly to the 6500 but Bushnell's 3200's and 4200's don't have this issue.

I have one, and have shot it across the magnification settings, and POI did not shift, It would be a really cheap scope if it did.
