I wouldn't bother unless you are going to be doing some rapid fire benchrest shooting. I do all my own work on Savages. Here's what I'd recommend. Buy a longer bolt handle. SSS or Stockade are good and cheap. Then do a bolt lift kit. Then do this. The Savage Scout Rifle Then shoot several hundred rounds through it. A thousand would be better. You'll have a super slick action by then.
