Scope for my AR?

I just went over to the dark side and bought a rock river a r15 varmint with a 18" barrel 1/8 twist. It was a reward for giving up chew ( great motivation by the way)! I sighted it in with the only decent scope I have, a sightron siii 6-24. I know this is total overkill but on the bright side, I am holding half moa groups. I would like to get a smaller and slightly lighter scope to put on it that won't shake apart. Any ideas for around 250-300$ I know it is not much money but it is all this elementary teacher can afford. Thanks guys!
