Hello everyone, well I am greatly disapointed. I am a week away from Pheasant season opening here in NM and the area I was planning on going to is shut down due to being so dry. I have no other ideas of where to go since Pheasant hunting does not really happen on public land. I am not having much luck with looking up the Kansas CRP information. Does anyone have any ideas of places that are accessible, and affordable? Any information will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Garcia; I just came back from NW KS and not many where doing very good on Public land I believe due to the fact they had such a dry summer, many crops where turned into for Insurance, So there is so many standing fields all the pheasants are in them, and you'll need at least four good dogs and 4 to 8 good shooters to get em out.
However I went to Pheasant Runn in Collyer KS. Grady was a great guy & Guide, with good dogs and I brought 2 dogs of my own. My Son and I had a wonderfull time and in 2 1/2 days we killed 19 Pheasants and 20 quail. Now if you hunt only Pheasants it"s $160 a day and lodging with food is $40 per night, I'm a working man and I looked high and low for long time to find this exact place " I love it" I will go back! Good Luck Jim K.
