Leica Binoculars With Built in LRF

I am looking for opinions of the Leica binocular with the built in LRF from the guys who own a set?? Or have used a set?? I have a set of 8X56 SLC Swaro's. and I am thinking about getting the Leica with the LRF. Not exactly sure what size yet. Tom.

I have had a set of the LRF Leicas in 10x for several years now. I've never used a set of binos that was better.

My buddy and I each have a set. Mine is an 8x his a 10x. Been through three hunting seasons with them. Excellent optics and very accurate rangefinder. Big bucks but we both agree that it's one of the best investments we've made when it comes to hunting gear!!! We both owned Swaro's previously, very nice, but no comparison to the Geovids.

im with the other guys, they are by far the best binos I have ever used and I love not having to carry a range finder its so handy. I have had mine since 2008 and they have a lot of miles on them, never a problem and I love everything about them. if you have the money I highly recommend them. mine are the 10x42's.

it depends on conditions but a nice cool to warm fall day with no snow i have hit just over 1400 yards even though they are only rated for 1300, in the snow itws a little harder but theres a lot of variables and in heavy mirage its a little harder but id say 1200 as a minimum in most non extreme conditions. it has a scan mode which is very helpfull in less than perfect conditions

I have had no problem ranging whitetails and mulies as far as 1000-1100 yards....haven't tried farther. I use and like the scanning mode for difficult conditions. If I can flash the same range two or three times at my target I'm good to go.

Have had and used a Geovid in 8-42 for 4 years. The glass to my eyes is not much if any better than Nikon ATBs. Max range with mine is 1348 yards and it takes very good conditions and target to get there. It will only range an antelope to 650 yards or so and deer not much farther on average. They are also kinda heavy.
A budy just picked up the new 1600 Leica and it is all the Geovids should have been The glas is better and it will outrange the Geovids in all areas......Maybe he got a good 1600 and I got a poor Geovid??

I personally use the Swarovski LRF and they work great. I have used the Bushnell Bino LRF and they work great.

IMHO the Leica Geovids are the best binos on the market, the new HD version is better than the older ones. I have used them on a few hunts and was impressed! They are expensive but heck the new Swaro EL's are just as expensive without a rangefinder.

I dont like the weight of the combos on neck, 32-35 oz. My ELS are 20 oz and I BOW hunt as much as rifle, sometimes w/ only LRF. My LRF 7OZ.

They are a good bit heavier. But to me it is a very worthy comprimise. I don't know how much they weigh but they don't bother me on a neck strap. A Guy could always switch to the bino harness systems they have available

My choice is a Zeiss 8x over the Leica. The glass is better at least for my eyes.
