New trigger for a Remington?

I realy like the trigger on all my Remingtons, I have enough faith in what I do that it is always just right with me and my friends who allow me to adjust theres.
If you were to replace the trigger on your rifle what make would you choose?

No need to replace them, they all have jewels in them.

I like the Jewel best, then Timney, and then the 40x Remington.

But like you I dont replace the stock trigger If it is real good.

Canjar was my favorite (They are no longer produced).

Shillen has some good replacement triggers also.

For those of you who like the Jewels, I have been tossing around the idea of getting one but remember reading something about them being prone to dirt buildup inside of them. Is there any truth to this and do they work well for a hunting rifle that gets used a lot? Thanks.

back when I owned a couple remmys I put Timney Triggers in them and really liked them, nice and fat, no creep

Any trigger will fail if it is not cared for. I have them on most of my hunting rifles and have
never had an issue.

The things I like about the Jewel are the sleeves where the pins on the Remington pins go.

They hold the complete assembly together and are easy to install, plus they can be adjusted
without removing the stock. And last but not least They are so clean when they break you have
to set them with a trigger pull gauge in order to get the weight you want(They feel much lighter
than they are).

I set mine at 2.2 pounds and they feel like 1 pound.

The HVRT comes with 3 springs and I like the spring C- (1.5 to 3.0 pounds).

Get the one with the safety and it is easy to change to the jewel .

Once you try one you will never buy anything else.

I have a Rifle Basix in one Remmy. It is easy to install and very smooth.
