i have a 4-12x40 diamondback,mounted it on my 22-250,the scope is really good but.....horrible eye relief.my old cheifscope 3-9 is easier to hit with than the vortex.anyone else having this problem or any ideas

If you cheek your gun, in what ever position you shoot from, with your eyes closed then
open your eye... are you lined up with the scope and the right distance from it? If not
loosen it up and start adjusting. You may need taller or shorter rings as well. I shim with
cardboard and packing tape to hold my scope until it's right. Then I measure and order
rings.
Field of view and eye relief are a trade off. No magic bullet for scope makers as far as
I know.
