Elcan SpecterDR Is A World Class CQB Optic

I've been surprised recently to talk to some guys who have never heard of ELCAN or the SpecterDR. I think the Elcan SpecterDR is top notch CQB Optical Sight.

I have an acquaintance in Raytheon Elcan involved in this product (can't say much more) and it is being used extensively in the Army and in SOCOM.

Talking to some of the SOCOM folks out of Crane, there were issues originally [that I think have been worked out by Elcan] that made some people love it or hate it. I think it has progressed into a fine product. It is easy to switch back and forth from 1x to 4x...if I had the money I'd buy one for a woods gun or black rifle in a heartbeat. I can't seem anyone to give me one yet...I'll do product testing and give plenty of long term test feedback.

That would be a bad deal for UNCLE SAM...I'm 60lbs heavier than when I was in full time. I ended my time as a reservist about 4 years ago (at the request of my new wife when she was pregnant).

...not sure having a 42 year old fat guy with no operational experience (flew a desk for the Air Force) is much benefit to our heroes over in the STAN. Trying to make new and better stuff for them to stay safe with and take it to the enemy more effectively and reliably...

FYI We now offering Cerakote Finishing on the Elcan Specter DR 1-4x and the Elcan SpecterDR 1.5-6x.

We've partnered with Phantom Finishing who will perform this service for our customers. We've already had several customers take advantage of this feature since we've added it. So far, FDE seems to be the most popular choice for the SpecterDR...

We have heard people claim that the ARMS mounts on the SpecterDR are inconsistent at returning to zero when removing and re-mounting the scope. We decided to take it out to the range to test this theory.
