iPhone & Ballist FTE program?

I cant figure out how to get wind in mils but in the description it does say it will work on ipod touch

Look at the "Output Options." There is a selection for Elevation Units and Windage units. Just click on that and pick you values you prefer.

You can also use the Ipod touch. That is what I own. The only drawback is that you have to put in your current atmosphere manually. It won't do it on its own like the iphone.

I have found that when setting up the program with my data, there are alot of options but mils is not one of them. I just dont understand why it has a mil ranging tab on the program with no options to set output to mils in hud.

It does give wind in mil rad's if you choose that option on the HUD settings screen, on the iPhone you have to scroll down to it, it's below the muzzle velocity settings.

The have the same output options for the HUD. mRad is the same as far as I know. At least my version has it. Have you gotten all the updates?

Version 2.3.0
When first opened the program should take you to the HUD Settings page, scroll down to the next to the last entry. This will be the elavations unit. Tap it and a new page will open up That has Moa, Mrad, minute clicks from 1 minute to 1/8 minute, centimeter clicks. .2 mrad clicks to .05 mrad clicks, IPhy, and custom. Tap the one you want, then tap HUD settings at the top of the page and there you are. Then do the same for the windage.

Thanks Russ
Like an idiot i was scrolling down and not even looking at the top, mrad was second to top just under moa. I do believe its almost perfect know

Your welcome. Once you nget the hang of it, it is a very good program. If you are used to a PC based operating system the Apple system takes some getting used to.

I just got an iphone and ballistic fte. May i ask you guys that have used it for awhile how you have your atmosphere setup.

i have the zero set but is it more accurate with current atmosphere on, off and input your own data.

I thought it said it had mil readout for windage in hud but i dont find it. only find mil for range finding

and last do you use the LOS angle in hud. Mine seems to freeze when testing it sometimes but i think the auto angle correction would be pretty cool.

I havent been able to go out and shoot with it yet but am pretty excited to try it, any input would be appreciated.
when using atmosphere do not use altitude and barometric at the same time it will give you double calculations

I know that, I was asking if auto atmosphere is accurate

My fault sometimes (most) i do not get typed out what i am thinking. My two fingers can't keep up.

The program will take the weather from the nearest weather station. Depends on the weather system and how big it is. A fast moving front can throw you off a little if you are in a low system and the weather station is located in a high system. I just use my Kestrel and put in my own weather.

Do you find the altitude readings and Baro of your Kestrel to be right on? My cousin has one and he seems to think it is incorrect some of the time. We have used Google earth with the topographic setting and find the area we hunt in to be a little lower than what the Kestrel is reading.
