As a Christian I'm sure you've read in scriptures about revilers. And I'm seeing that much more on here. Used to be a fun learning experience.

My take is that it definately isnt just on LRH, but life in general, and I think its deepest roots are political.
A few Presidents ago, we had a community organizer who did a very good job of getting his base riled up. Then his successor brought it to the other side of the aisle and cranked it up even more.
At some point we, as a Nation, need to pull it together before they pull us apart.
As for here on LRH, I agree with those who said we need to police ourselves and if that doesnt work flag them so the admin can take them out.
LRH is too good of a resource to allow the argumentative few ruin it for the rest of us!

I disagree, because we don't need to see someone's negativity or throwing insults because they don't agree with them. Not validating someone's point of view is not a reason to be disrespected.
I will gladly ignore that person. And it's unfortunate that I/we have to.

In my opinion If someone is ignoring 70+ people. The problem isn't everyone else. The problem is that type of individual hasn't been delt with.

Ok I get your point now, it can go both ways. I can see how someone is ignoring members just because they don't agree with him/her.
I'm a pretty new member but a long time lurker. I've been guilty of getting in PP contests on here but I'm getting better at spotting trolls. I don't do mainstream social media at all so this is my social media outlet. I enjoy reading and conversing with you guys and gals even if we don't agree. I try my best not to derail threads because I've read thru 10 pages of posts to get 2 pages of actual information so many times before I ask a question that' might have already been answered. Even if your opinion is different than mine it's still just another way of looking at the same thing.
I think that the current political climate and state of the country has everyone with a shorter fuse. I think that what is normal in society now would have been unthinkable 6 years ago.
If you bring your point of view to a public forum and expect nobody to disagree with you then you aint living on the same earth as me.
My mother told me something when I was about 10 years old and getting picked on at school for being little and not as financially well off as everyone else. She told me to "consider the source" and those 3 words have kept me out to the Texas penitentiary system for almost 30 years. Now that I'm one of the bigger "kids" I now have the ability to simply walk away.
Respect is reciprocated.
Don't start a fight but make sure you finish it on your terms.
Dont stand for meanness in a person.
Accountability is all but a thing of the past
Hope that people do the right thing but don't expect them to.
Leave your feelings at the cattle guard.
Be able to recognize a dead horse and when to stop beating it.
Live and let live.
Worry about your tribe first.
You ARE your brothers keeper.
Dumb hurts more often than not.
You can't fix stupid.
Anything worth doing is worth doing right.
The re-do's will kill ya.
Buy once cry once.
Actions speak louder than words and i cant hear what some folks are saying over what they are doing.

If it has legs it will kick.
It takes a brain to be ignorant.
The only person who was perfect got nailed to a cross.
This forum has cost me thousands of dollars and saved me thousands of dollars at the same time.
I use the "unwatch" button once I've made my point or if things go off in the weeds. I don't block anyone because you never know when the person you block might have the "key" you are needing. The only thing that really separates us from the animals is the ability to convey information learned from past experiences.

Don't have anyone ignored or blocked here or on other forums, I absolutely loved the cameraderie and info sharing, LRH used to be a "Long Range" community & I miss the guys that were so into it, but no longer hang out here, now we have tons of new members with "ethics" about shooting animals past 400 yards ... In a LONG RANGE HUNTING forum, yo ..... I have pretty much ceased posting any pertinent info on my long range stuff because of the constant whining of Fudd dweebs going "all you need is a 30-06" & "get closer, my grandpa used a 30-30" etc.. etc... along with the sheer stupidity of the dinky mini mm cartridge craze... it's insanity ....
I'm pretty thick skinned and have ZERO feelings of any sort .... other than a huge sense of humor .... can be blunt as a 10 # doublejack but always on point & truthful, sometimes my posts offend others here but that was never the intent, just pointing out some ignored or unknown facts is all .... I don't ever take the "High Road" that nonsense has put us into this gigantic political mess with the liberals since the evil dark man was first installed by the elite pedos .... I do not cave & that has earned me 9 months of Facebook jail per year, multiple years in a row, started another account and same, same ... lol ... also earned several warnings here on LRH, for simply speaking the truth , sure my "language" could have been cleaner but the facts remain .....
In essense .... my work experience started at 13 years of age, commercial fishing on the high seas in the Gulf of Alaska & heavy construction on land, collecting same wages as older experienced men, there was no time for feelings or whining , there was only work & phenomenal amounts of humor to pass the time ... It hardens a guy and creates contempt for the weak men, hence my stance on whiners about recoil ..... now you know ....
I don't cry wolf or complain to the admins/moderators ... ever .. those are acts of the weak .... I get attacked constantly on forums, simply for going beyond the norm in what they percieve as optimum and "all you need" ... It's an ongoing battle ... BUT ..
if someone pokes me in the eye ... I won't gouge out both of their eyes in retaliation, just one , so they can see it with the other one still intact .....
that last part was a joke, lol !

Great saying but I think that certain people always think that they are right even if it's proven that they are wrong.
I know that I am wrong at times because my wife informs me of this! lol
Its a cancer. It starts with politics and it spreads throughout the forum. If its accepted at anytime then its accepted always.

Just remember facts or real and based on truth . Opinions are Opinions if they can't be backed up wit facts. That is where disagreements begin , so when proving your right with some folks you have too spoon feed the facts , not too put them on the defensive.
Thats true and in some cases you can't even spoon feed it to them but if you say its ok to call someone an idiot in one thread, you can't tell them its not in another. The rules apply to all threads regardless of topic. Its either ok or its not.
