OK Boys and Girls.
Their are two pictures below. Firt is a Berger 95 grain VLD and the second picture is 85 grian Speer Hotcor boattail. Both are in .243/6mm. These bullets were shot in a 5 gallon buck filled with dirt at 100 yards.Is this what you should get on the return of the bullet just a bent up jacket or should there be a soild base connected to it.I have a custom rifle and it was built for the Berger 95G bullets and they have a short bearing surface and shots extramley well but I was thinking of changing to a different bullet and was needing some help from you guys.I was wanting something with a little more knock down power.Barrel is a 1:9 twist. Thanks

You should try either a Nozler Partition,accubond or a barnes x.

But you may have to put something behind the 5 gallon bucket to catch them.
