The answer is yes "BUT" if you buy just the action you will need to buy
a trigger plus the bottom metal and all of this is normaly more expensive.

The action=around $400.oo plus shipping.
A trigger = around $ 100.oo plus shipping.
Bottom Metal = $ 75.00 to $150.oo.

You can buy a 700 sps for $375 to $450 and end up with all of these parts
and then you can sell the stock and barrel and recoup some of your money.

im canadian so the cheapest i will get one for is about 550. but thats still cheaper

and then you can put the money from the stock & takeoff barrel towards blueprinting the action and a trigger job.

Better off to find a used rifle at a show or consignment shop, and strip that down....
