This is her second deer. She missed one of the better mule deer bucks I've seen in a while the day before. She decided to dump this little guy on the morning of day two. Shot was 230 yards.
It was a beautiful day in Montana and he ran to the top of the bowl where I had a perfect down hill drag to the truck. Doesn't get any better then that. It was in the same bowl where she shot her first deer last year.
She's shooting her moms Browning Xbolt in 7mm-08. 140gr Nosler Ballistic tips over Varget at 2737fps same as last year.

Outstanding!!

You both should be proud of that! Let her know that your hunting buddies on this site are celebrating with her.

This one's not much of a kid any more. National Guard, ROTC, college.

Due to my busy work schedule, moves from state to state, and his busy life, this is only his second deer.

Make the time when they are little. These two photos are only a blink of an eye apart.

What an amazing day with my son yesterday. I can believe it's been 11 years since him and his mom decided I got to be his dad.
I'm so proud of the man he has become.

My 7 year olds 2nd deer. I'm proud of him, he has hunted 15+ sits this year and let lots of deer walk. He will not shoot a doe! I've tried multiple times last year and this year and he's always like na I'm waiting for a big buck.

Anyway were sitting in the stand couple days ago and we had a really nice 8 point slip in on us at 40yds and busted me trying to get him in position. I could see the disappointment in him all day long and then that afternoon dark is approaching fast and he looks at me and says daddy if it's brown it's down I'm ready to kill something. How do I say no to that ? About 10min later this little guy walks out and he smoked him first shot, he ran about 20yds and stopped I told him to hit him again, he did a little low but got it done.

He's shooting a Remington 700 300 blackout 125gr nosler ballistic tip 2400fps in a mdt lss chassis. Right now I have him limited (he doesn't realize it) to 100yds on anything alive but he rings steel regularly out to 150yds with it.

Good for him! And for you, the proud papa!

Wonderful shot of him with his deer, and he doesn't even have all of his teeth yet!

That is one for the scrapbook, for sure.
