Biologist says this was a ten year old bull. Our friend and guide, Sam McGuire, says this bull has not been seen around for awhile... guess that's why he's so big!
He is a lucky young man, first year with hunting license and drew this tag. First kill on any large game... gonna take a few years for him to realize what just happened. Most of our crowd hunt public on our own, he'll be fine.
I'd say Idaho has been the choice for many of my friends. New Mexico, Colorado and AZ. I've yet to hunt elk until this Tule elk hunt opportunity came along. Elk is high on my list, just need to jump in with some friends and make it happen. Many deer and pig opportunities in my area, not so for elk. Tags are very limited and max points required.
