Your guns group size at 600 yards ?

My card gave me moa on my shots out to 800 yards and they where all hitting high 600 yard shot was 12 inches high . Was that from my bc being of or my fps ?

Beware my friend when making range cards that their BC's are highly inflated so if you use their data you will be hitting rather low from 400yds on out.

If I remember right the correction is to subtract about 10% from what they publish and it will get you very close.

If you can I highly suggest working up a range card and then verifying/validating it at three ranges beyond 300yds.

Other than that I'd say you are well prepared and Suzie Q should be a whole lot of fun and play a big part in a great season for you.

These are Nosler's numbers compared to what I chronographed out of my rifle:

Nosler Velocity and Energy @ 200: 2583 - 2816
Nosler Velocity and Energy @ 400: 2314 - 2260
Nosler Velocity and Energy @ 600: 2062 - 1794
Nosler Velocity and Energy @ 800: 1826 - 1407

What I got @ 200: 2602.3 - 2856.6
What I got @ 400: 2302.5 - 2236.3
What I got @ 600: 2023.0 - 1726.2
What I got @ 800: 1764.5 - 1313.3

Although slightly different the numbers are very similar! I am very happy with my numbers which is why I am using the ABLR'S. The numbers are similar to standard .338 factory loads.

I don't use a range card since the Huskemaw Turret has been etched to match the numbers I got. At 800 yards I am shooting 5" groups and all I do is turn the Turret to 8. :) gun)

Went out today for the final tuneup before my moose hunt! 2 shots @ 100 yards :D

My 300 RUM in a Rem 700 action, 26" SS .650 muzzle with 2 inch 3 cavity, side ported brake, in a Laminated stock loaded with a Nosler 180 AB on top of 100gr Retumbo @ 3,425fps shoots 3.4" @ 600 yards, but the other Rem 700 action in 300 RUM wears a 26" fluted SS with .850" muzzle with spiral Magna Brake inside a McMillian stock shoots 210 Berger VLD hunting in the low 2"s @ 600yds. That load clocks an avg. 3,049 fps over 90.0 gr of Retumbo with a GM215 Match primer.

The deer to varmint varmint calibers, 25 thru 22, can shoot low 2" to 1.5" groups. The 25-06 with an 85gr Nosler BT on top of 60 gr MRP shoots .3 moa @ 600yd. The 22-250 AI's will shoot 75 gr Amaxes into 1.5", and sometimes less, 600 yard groups, and they routinely shoot low 0.2" at 100yds.

If there is no wind which is almost never in this area, I have an old "Red" built BR rifle in 222Rem that shoots low 0.1's @ 100 and will hold similar @ 600. But ANY wind and the light 50gr match bullets just love to drift over two inches at 600.

Strangely, my 6mm's aren't shooting under 2.5 to 3 inches at 600, and that may be due to the 1/9 twist I'm shooting the 105's in. Once those barrels are toast, I'll change to 1/8 twists.
