Where can I buy a rem700 long action?

I was going to start accumulating parts for a rifle and was wondering where I can purchase an action. Will it be easier to buy a basic, cheap remington from wal-mart and strip the action?

you could buy the cheap walmart adl, but if you are looking for a blued or stainless action with any bolt face, contact larry scott @ greatscott144 at yahoo.com. he will get you a brand new action, and what ever you want at a very reasonable price

You can buy an inexpensive rifle just for the action. Sometimes you can get lucky at one of the gun web sites. I got my rem 700 ss action at GunsAmerica at a reasonable price. Good luck.

if you have a ffl you can get a new rem from jerry's sport center for $367.00 then sell the stock barrel and trigger and you have a new action for about $225.00
