I've only lived and hunted in Montana for 50 years. in every part of the state and all I ever needed was Rifle, Ammo a Sharp knife never had any issues with bringing home the meat. hunted everything from Turkeys to Bear. ?? Maybe I've been doing it all wrong? I'll be 63 by next hunting season and I'll still take my Rifle Ammo and my Trusty 50 year old Razor Sharp Case folding knife. we've split Many a Rib Cage and Pelvic bones in the field. Never was one for all the Fancy hunting gear. I like the KISS method best.Open to recommendations on what I don't need or haven't used. That's why I like forums.
