It is not the attitude of a single politician but the ammunition in the form of votes by his constituents that will garnish our weapons. The war against extreme gun control is fought in our minds by reasoning, strategizing and execution of counter-measures. Lobbying is not enough. We have to win the hearts and minds of the anti-gunners, not all of them but enough to give us peace of mind. These people, believe it or not, are our fellow citizens, our fellow Americans. These are the very people you and I would protect with deadly force if necessary. So, how do we do at least get them to understand our side of the story? First we should not alienate them but invite them into our world of safe and responsible gun ownership. Listen to their concerns without getting defensive and then rebuttal in a friendly way and shake hands afterwards. They will see that we are good, hardworking law-abiding citizens with a logical reason to support the Second Amendment. Slowly over time we may win-over allies from the opposition. I believe it is a societal conflict that should be settled with friendship and wisdom not "civil war".</span></p></blockquote><p></p>
