I am kinda a dooms-day-r</p><p>so availability weighs a lot in my book. On a calm nice day I can hit my 20 x 40 in . target at and past 1500 yds very consistently. I would never take a shot at game that far but my point is that the 300 WM just gets it done even though there are several design flaws - belted cartridge, short neck and etc.....but I can find it at Wal-Mart and I have used it on larger game with devastating effect. </p><p>So shoot a 300 wm.
