What bullet weight 1/10 7mm08 26" @2800-2850 fps

The problem is that the RUM is a Remington XHR with the itty bitty triangular barrel that scolds your skin if you touch it after 2 shots, so there arent very many options for muzzle brakes.

Sorry you had such bad luck with the 708 and 120 grain bullets .

What 120 bullet did you try?
J E CUSTOM
JE, I was using the 120 sierra pro hunter. It is rated to about 3K for deer so it should have worked, but two in a row broke up on the shoulder on a white-tail at 200 yards or less. I had been working with the 140 pro hunter, but I went with the 120 as it was faster. I've killed a lot of deer with sierra bullets, and they are usually superb, but not here.

I use 162 gr AMAX with H 414 powder.
West TX antelope longest shot 725 yds Remington 700 BDL ...24 in barrel...1 and 9.25 in twist

Also to get the maximum velocity I seat the bullet out to 2.875" OAL
The majority of at muzzle velocity is 2658 fps

Longest competition shots is at 1000 yds

Shilen Barrel 24 inches and 1 in 9 " twist

168 Sierras in process....OAL 2.830 " and 300 yds 1 inch groups velocities
Varget 39.8 grs velocities ( 2607,2648,2586 fps )
Good accuracy for 1000 yd steel targets

Always test your own rifle with your own data...everyone else's info is just a starting point for your journey
