Regardless of which way I made 22 Creed brass, it was easy and very accurate during fireforming. Nowadays you can buy 22 CM brass and dies from a number of sources. I built mine with the intention of shooting the 95gr SMKs, which it does extremely well. I also built a 1/8 twist for my brother. The 1/8 twist has handled everything up to 88gr ELDMs very well. My 1/7 twist will blow up lighter bullets if pushed hard. I think a 1/7.5 or 1/8 would be more than enough for all but the heaviest 22 cal bullets. It has been easy to load for and not at all picky on which bullet is loaded. As mentioned before, accuracy nodes seem quite wide. I really like the 95gr SMK and the ballistics it offers. I never thought I would see the day that a 224 bullet would stay supersonic beyond 1400 yards.
Having not read all the pages in this post, I will give you my experience with my 22 Creedmoor. I built a 27.5" 1/7 twist heavy bull barrel on a trued up 700 action. It sits in an MDT LSS-XL Gen2 chassis and wears a Viper PSTII 5-25 scope.
