Weird find while skinning

Back when red foxes were bringing good money, a friend and I hunted them hard. Without exception, every one we skinned, had shotgun pellets in the rear end. That was compliments of pheasant hunters, no doubt.

Good point, I have killed a few in the last 2-3 years with shotguns while Pheasant hunting, but will always try to at least pepper them......they mess with the pheasant population pretty bad in some spots.

Foxes are really hard on pheasants, but some years ago our game dept. did a study of varmints, and found that feral cats were our #1 problem!
I use whatever is handy, on them.
