What's the opinions of Vortex's Viper HS. Sounds like a lot of the same features as the new G7 scope that is being made for Gunwerks by Nightforce.

I don't think that there are any available yet to try out.

For the Long Range HS, it features: capped windage, tall elevation turret and 24 MOA per turn. Simple Zero stop, and wire reticle with windage hold off indicators. 4-16 magnification right now.

We are excited to offer that scope on our new LR-Hunter package.

I believe that Vortex is offering two versions. One like has a covered tall target turret, and the other has an exposed tactical turret for elevation. They look to be well thought out. I guess time will tell

Are they going to offer the windage hold off info that corresponds to the range like the Huskemaw?

And I assume they are a second focal plane scope because of the lack of illumination.

What is the positive or negative on the wire reticle? I can't think of any positive other than price.
