If you follow any of my posts, I am a huge Savage fan. I think a Mod 12 Target Rifle is right up your alley. They make them in 6.5x284, 6BR, and now in 260. Savage Arms Firearms > 12 Bench Rest Savage Arms Firearms > 12 Long Range Precision Savage Arms Firearms > 12 F Class I think these rifles are going to prove exceptional. They have already won international competition with these same rifles and are factory produced. In fact a couple of years ago, they won a match that was factory rifle only. The Savage team had to get a certified letter stating that the rifle in question was exactly a factory rifle and that there is no custom shop. These rifles perform exceptionally well. The nice thing is that they have a 6oz to 1.5lb trigger totally adjustable by you. If you call the factory, they can set you up in one of these rifles in any caliber you want from what I understand. Because you shoot a 7RM, the straight 284 Win would be a good caliber to keep you practiced up for the 7RM. These are my suggestions. If you have any mechanical aptitude, you will be able to change the barrel to any caliber you want with aftermarket barrels should you desire. Here's my Savage I put together with a Mod 12 VLP w/DBM: Tank
