looks like I'm on a meat hunt (cow tag) this year in this unit , Anyone hunt this unit? looking for some good advice for my scouting trip. I dont ask for much, just need a place to setup a big tent and four of use want to shoot an elk and I would like mine to be out past the 800 yard mark . see not much. All kidding aside any help will be appreciated.

Which cow hunt do you have? Early hunts they are still a bit more scattered and higher. Later hunts and they are down low near my buddies ranch in large herds. Time of the hunt will make a difference on where I would recommend.

So, when is your cow hunt.?
