Are lever gun users discovering some new advantage to this type of grip?
In some lines, the straight grip seems to have gone completely from the line-up. Has there been a groundswell of demand for pistol grip lever guns?
    Would John Wayne approve?

I like the strait grip, I think it has changed over the years with the advent of better and more abundant optics.

I can understand both sides of the debate, the lineage of the straight grip cannot be denied, classic sleek & elegant. On the other hand you end with oddballs like me who don't like the straight grip from an ergonomic stand point, in all honesty in hurts my wrist to be cocked at that angle. Would I take the straight over the pistol grip? If I could sure, but I can't.
