Texas Parks and Wildlife draw hunts?

I've always been able to hunt on my family's property and have gone my whole life without taking advantage, or even knowing much about the TPWD draw hunts. I noticed there are a few of you here from Texas and I'm gonna start applying for every species that I can this year. I'm really stoked about the idea and was wondering if anyone here has ever been drawn and could share your experiences. I've heard from others who have done it that they have had some good experiences and I know a guy from this county that went on one of the refuges here and killed a **** fine white tail for this part of the country. Any experiences shared would be appreciated. I'm dreaming big!
