The 7STW is too flat a shooter to match up well with the TDS reticle. The TDS graduations on the reticle subtend the following on a target at 100 yards: crosshairs 1st line down - 2.0" 2nd line down - 4.8" 3rd line down - 7.5" 4th line down - 10.5" So with a 100 yard zero the reticle would correspond to the following trajectory: 100 yard zero 200 yards - 4" 300 yards - 14.4" 400 yards - 30" 500 yards - 52.5" 200 yard zero 300 yards - 6" 400 yards - 19.2" 500 yards - 37.5" 600 yards - 63" That doesn't match up to most 7STW loads, for example a 160 gr Accubond with a muzzle velocity of 3100 fps would have the following trajectory: 100 yard zero 200 yards - 2.6" 300 yards - 9.8" 400 yards - 22" 500 yards - 40.3" 200 yard zero 300 yards - 5.9" 400 yards - 16.9" 500 yards - 33.8" 600 yards - 57.6" Not too bad at 200 yard zero. If you shoot the 140 gr bullet it would get worse, the 175 gr bullet it would get closer. You would have to shoot a bullet with a ballistic coefficient closer to .400 in a 160 gr weight and use the 200 yard zero to really match a TDS.
