BB, about 5 years ago I purchased one of the early Swaro RF-1 randefinders from e-bay. It was broken and had a crack in the battery box. I called them and was upfront and told them I bought this unit used, and I wanted to have it repaired. I also sent along my 15 year old binos, that I also bought used, to be refurbished. Both items came back to me looking like brand new and it was all done under warranty with no charge to me. I am not sure of what the rangefider warranty is today, but I can tell you I truely believe that Swaro is the best in the buisness as far as warranty. I have used them many times. The girls at the repair office are top notch and are a dream to work with. They go above and beyond. I can't say for sure you are "good to go" on a used unit, but I can sure say I would be very surprised if they didn't take care of you. Jeff
