I had it to build a 300 RUM, but have found a complete rifle I'm going to buy instead.

I'm not a buyer at $1700 but there is a guy in the Gunsmithing forum that was wanting a Surgeon long action for a 300 WSM.

I'm not sure, but isn't a wsm bolt face a little bit larger? I guess it could be opened up?

SAAMI shows .001" difference between a 300 RUM and a 300 WSM.

0.535 for the wsm and 0.534 for the Ultra mag

A 1086 with a modified AI 338L mag magazine will run like a champ with a RSAUM or WSM.
