[ QUOTE ] HI, I'm in the process of prepping my cases = (Winchester) but I'm looking for suggestion on what to use based off of what I already have. The purpose is for deer hunting 100-350yd shots as accurate as possible . Powder = H1000, H380, and Varget Primer = WLR Bullet = 130gr Hornady SST, and 130gr Sierra GameKing Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, [/ QUOTE ] you did not mention a barrel length. The 140 and 150 BT's have a much higher BC and the best powder is IMR 7828 or R-22. I've spent lots of chrono time with the .277's and h-1000 only shines in my ackley improved 29 inch barreled gun using 169.5 bullets Even using a tall drop tube and pouring slowly 270 win cases are kind of limited to @62 grains of powder. I never really found a use for the 130's. The additional speed of a 130 over a 140 or 150's with the their higher BC makes them all about equal speed once you get out to 300 yards or so. But the retained energy of the heavier bullet really makes the difference. I've been a 270 man since the 70's and i have several classes of .277 rifles
