Should be fun. I've been tempted to build one too. Just don't muzzle load enough to justify it. Although that's maybe the wrong wording, as I seem to "justify " a new rifle build most years!

Best of luck.
About 12-14 years ago bought me a Savage 10ML-II stainless laminated stocked smokeless capable ML.
Sent it to a Smith who's name escapes me to have the action glass bedded muzzle crowned and a third action screw installed to allow removing the bolt without affecting the rifles POA/POI and the barrel smoothed out.

Absolutely love it. Only shot it to 300 yards but it shoots 1-1.5 MOA at 300 and MOA at under 300.
Shoots 250 grain all copper T-MZ's at 2650 FPS/MV and 290grn T-MZ's at 2450 FPS/MZ.
Love the Barnes and Hornady all copper bullets as you can not shoot them fast enough to cause them to fail.
Hornady all copper 250 grain .458" bullets are my favorite and give me the most consistent shot to shot accuracy.

Best Sabots I have ever used are the ones made by Harvester specifically made for smokeless ML's.

I put the barrel on my deer rifle, I usually get to hunt 3 days with the muzzleloader vs 5 with a rifle here in PA and they are a month apart so it gives me plenty of time to switch back and rezero between seasons.

I definitely prefer hunting with my suppressed smokeless barrel far more than I ever did with my regular inline. Couldn't get the inline to meet my accuracy requirements and didn't trust it to hold zero or shoot well past 100 yards. With my smokeless barrel however I was getting 1/2 MOA groups and easily hit the 350 yard gong and our friends property when I unloaded at the end of the day.

In case you haven't bought any yet….I use these for my powder charges. They are outstanding! The funnel that came with your barrel will drop right down into these tubes. 👍

Well here we got a rough start! I ordered the wrong primer modules so I didn't want to wait to shoot. So much with using my baby Lone Peak I just yanked a pre fit 300Win mag barrel off a long rem700 action to get started. Got close enuf at 25 yards with 2 shots. Took it out to 105 yards. 275 grain Parker Ballistic extreme and 72 grains of IMR 4197 no wad. Sized smaller than I would like (I'm still learning) but they seat nicely with just one hand. First target was second 3 shot group, second pic was 5 shots 2 of the shots are walking the crosshairs to bullseye then 3 shots in the bullseye. Not sure of the speed but the recoil says come-on November!!!!! 😉🍻🇺🇸
