Would it be possible for me to do this myself or should I take it to a smith? Its at 5.5# now and I would like to get it down to around 2# or so.

I have an older model sendero black stock with grey web and black matte barreled action in 25-06.

Thanks for the help in advance!

2 lbs is about the minimum you want to get the 700 trigger down to without replacing the springs or whole trigger. You can do it yourself, look online for directions. I would recommend NOT touching the sear screw unless completely necessary.

You might want to consider having a smith get you down to 2 lbs or just replace the trigger with a Jewell.

Thanks Guys for the help and info. went to the smith today to drop some rifles off to get some work done and ended up picking up a spare Jewell he had on hand.

Thanks Again!!!
