saterlee load test

for pure accuracy, no question about 40.6 but I might try 42.8 for hunting. Rather narrow on top though
I guess I should of stated that this is my target rifle. So I'm not worried about point blank range or energy. A lot of target shooters want the speed to get to 1,000 yds as fast as possible to avoid wind drift.

elkaholic is right about that low node too. I personally go with the fastest node I find, as long as accuracy, pressure, and consistency are all in check. I would really try 42.8 and load up 5 of those and try them out. If 2730fps meets your needs, and you're wanting better barrel life, that load there I can almost guarantee will be a winner.
Thanks for you help!

Thats what I do myself. I have seen some loads with great es/sd numbers be relative dogs on target. I am becoming a believer in tuning the load for the distance you are intending to shoot combining the chrony data and the paper.

groups have been very average. At 100 they are .5 to .8 but 300 to 500 no wano. 1 moa at 500. Have tried several seating depths. gonna try the 130 berger hybrid otm this week

elk, my 6.5ss is like cheating. Just fire forming brass right now with 57 gr of h1000 but got .5 at 500 yesterday while letting my creedmoor cool down
